LET HARM+DONE=0

BASIC - Part 35: in which it all blows over and we learn the real cost of war - not very much it seems. Next issue we WILL get inside that damned building, I promise.

1 INPUT "WAR.HUH!";goodfor: IF goodfor=0 THEN PRINT"SAY IT AGAIN." 2 GOTO 1

BASIC - Part 34: In which an absurd battle comes to an absurd end and our hero becomes even more puzzled.

PAUSE 5: INPUT WHY$

BASIC - Part 33: You'd think a stonking great robot would be more use in a fight as the great battle of 'This Thursday' rages on.

IF AUTHOR=OLD THEN PRINT (RND*TAT)

Whaaat? it's not Wednesday already? Why am I out of my box? Well, it's my birthday so I thought I'd give you all a little present: A big fighty pirate/ninja wallpaper at BASIC comic's new RND*TAT page. It's actually a painting I did before starting the comic; one of a couple to get the feel right. However, I really liked it so I worked into it WAY too much for a quick concept that no-one would see.

FOR ESCAPE=C TO BASE STEP -1

BASIC - Part 32: In which the battle comes to land and our heroes run away.Today's dinosaur is a Ceratosaurus, a sorely underused dinosaur in modern media. Rest assured, the only time you'll see a Tyrannosaurus Rex in these pages is if I pull a 3D Monster Maze homage. Thank goodness for links, that I can casually reference a UK specific ZX81 game and not feel like I'm talking to myself :) Also, welcome to lots of new readers. It's been a record week for this little comic and I'm over the moon to have you visit - you are MOST welcome.

PRINT CHR$ ENEMY; OVER C;"FIGHT!"

BASIC - Part 31: A raging and faintly ridiculous sea battle ensues. Wyndham is fairly nonplussed. In other news, I've started taking a little (subtle I hope) advertising on site. Hope you don't mind - I will still talk to you all when I'm rich and famous (I've made 16 cents so far!!!). Actually, while we're on 'the site', if there's anything you'd like to see on basiccomic.com (social stuff, other sections etc.), please let me know. I just write this stuff.

PRINT AT 1,1;"HOME"

BASIC - Part 30: Blimey, it's all kicking off (hence the inset panels, that means action!). Gosh, are we really at part 30 already? And poor Wyndham, still in that same coat. It's lucky he has a friend with no inherent sense of smell.

PLOT X,Y,Z

BASIC - Part 29: The plot deepens. Well, insofar as it now has a Z axis. Since this weeks strip is pretty much an establishing shot, I thought I'd give it two flavours: Normal 2D and Red/Blue Anaglyph 3D. Crazy eh? It's like Avatar but with a plot. Have a great week everybody.

IF EYES=2 THEN GOSUB QUIET

BASIC - Part 28: Please keep arms and legs inside the ride and, whatever you do, don't talk to the driver. Wyndham has a go at making conversation and, well, that's never easy, is it?
Remember, dear readers, if you have any red/blue 3D glasses, it might be prudent to dig them out for next week. It IS optional, though.

LET BADDIE$(SMALL)=BADDIE$(FARAWAY)

BASIC - Part 27: A little high altitude exposition. First off, apologies for the late blog post, I'm heavily jet lagged :) Its currently all I can do to even turn a computer on.
Aaaaaanyway, as the title says, a little exposition here and our first view of the, let's say, baddies. Gotta say, I like this strip, art wise. It's the first time I think I've really got a handle on drawing Miriam. Wyndham is basically a perpetually surprised triangle, but Miriam taps into all the life drawing I did at college. She's a lot of fun to do.
